Wwc bounce shroom is melting-help

So I have this wwc bounce shroom that I've had for about 3 years now and its huge-about 7-8 days ago it got all smushed up and unhappy but I didn't think much of it cause I did do some minor re-rockscap And lowered my lighting by about 5 inches and lowered the output accordingly. And I have a clown that likes to host it but it has to seemed to bother it and this has been going on for about 2 months. But now it the size of a silver dollar at best and I can see a hole in it and it literally melting in front of me. I have moved it around a bit to change flow and lighting but nothing worked so far. It's in the corner of the tank now as if tonight but this really sucks. I don't know what to do to save it. InQT the clown last night to end that irritation but it's worse today. Any ideas? Dip? Put it In the sump? Lemme kno

Also try all dips. Maybe one will work. Revive, iodine, tmpcc and last one for bacteria. Could be antibiotic.

Never heard of tmpcc or intercepted dip? Also what's the dilution of iodine that u use? Thanks

Tmpcc is tropic marin pro dip and interceptor is dog deworme pill.

I have a bad bacterial infection like white band on my acans. I did the interceptor treatment and all bounced back.

I only lost one acan to that disease.

Don't ask me how it worked but it did.

I had a bunch of Tie Dye Mystery shrooms melt on me, some that I'd had for several years and that had colored up develop green, so I feel your pain. Watching hundreds of dollars turn into goo sucks!!

Out of about 10 high end shrooms, I managed to save ONE. That one was moved to an entirely different system.

My melting started after a move across town which inherently involved a bit of reaquascaping. I guess I stirred up a lot of nutrients. I also removed a few rocks that I didn't like and replaced me with fresh dry Marco rocks. Anyways, I'm guessing I started a small cycle, and this is what started the death.

You probably did the same thing when you added new rock. Your nutrient levels probably spiked. This is just my guess.

I would focus on water changes. Do lots of water changes. Ideally, I'd recommend two 10% water changes per day until things settle down. I realize that's a pain, so just do what you can. Maybe 15% changes once per day. Or, 25% changes every two days. Just do what works for you.

I would also recommend adding iodine do your water. Mind you, do not overdose. You should be safe dropping iodine every other day.

Also, DONT MOVE IT AROUND! This just stresses it. As long as you don't have it baking directly under 100% radions are getting blasted by a strong powerhead, then I doubt it's your lighting or flow that's the problem, especially if it was doing fine for the past few years.

Thanks for all the advise guys. Wish I had better news but it's still on the decline. Tryin everything mentioned in here and tomoro morn I'm gona see if my LFS has Lugols-I'm just about ready to put the remaining but left and chuck it in the sump and forget about it. Maybe it will make a comeback while I'm not fretting over it-I had a Darwin shroom make a comeback in my sump once

Yes, get the Lugols. That's what I used for iodine.

Well looks like nothing is gona work to save it-it's down to it's last small bits but there is still 1 orange bubble left that still looks inflated so u think I'm gona roll the dice and cut out a square with that bubble on it and maybe section off a few small pieces of the skirt left that doesn't looks totally toast yet and just hope for the best. At this point it's obviously not going to survive so don't really have anything to lose by cutting it I guess. I will put the rest of what I don't think will live in the sump and forget about it and who knows-maybe I will find a Christmas miracle in there come Christmas-lol-well something to hope for anyways but won't hold my breath. It's weird how such a huge healthy shroom could take such a dramatic turn in the span of 2+ weeks

A lot of good advises already but my suggestion would be moving to a friend's tank that known to be an established system in hope it bounced back for ya. Sorry to hear.

I would move it to a more established tank and see how it rebounds. My jawbreaker looked worst than that when I had my main tank crash and moved it to my frag tank which is stable and it rebounded in a couple of weeks

It's toast unfortunately but it may of left me 4 small miracles but I'm not getting my hopes up to high. 4 small pieces of the foot look like they could be coming back from the ashes and 1 appears to be forming a mouth and head-I may get lucky but like I said I don't want to get my hopes to high. Wish me luck-thanks for all the suggestions too by the way. I tried about 90% of them but moving to a friends tank wasn't in the cards for me since nobody close
