I don't see myself being able to get enough to make it worth my money in shipping. Neat concept and it is a great marketing ploy to get people to buy things sporadically since they buy on impulse. I am sure they make some good money.
Yes, I won three pieces, but would not have tried for any had I not won the $50 Visa card that went with making the 1000th post, essentially making shipping free and then some. I missed out on many $0.01, $10 and $15 pieces by not being fast enough.
The method sure generates page views. I would not be surprised if I contributed at least 10K by myself.

I did terrible during the sale... I was only fast enough to get one piece and I didn't really want it. I got really lucky and stumbled into the leftovers before they announced it and that is where I cleaned up
I went from hating that sale to loving it in about 5 minutes.
Here are mine. I suspect I will be surprised how small they are in real life.

That is a Paletta Tri-Color. If it does well in my tank, want a frag of it when it gets big enough? How is all the SPS you got at the MTRC frag swap doing?
Those zoas are a bleeding hearts / rocketmans combo and I have a feeling they are going to be pretty tiny. I'm really liking the look of the rocketmans though and praying they look that good in person. Has anyone heard of rocketmans? I couldn't find anything about them anywhere.
Don't worry guys, 98% of the frags in the Live Sale are nice size frags, only a couple of the really inexpensive ones ($0.01,$5,$10) and a couple of the really expensive chalice frags are very small.

I am always checking out your website because you have some awesome stuff. Maybe next time I will try to dedicate some time to the live sale because I think it could be fun (with a personal preset limit, of course).
Thanks Chris. We are always looking for ways to improve the Live Sale and make it more fair and easier for everyone to win something. Cyber Monday in November will be our next one and we already have a lot of ideas for improvement. We will be launching a brand new website with a new shopping cart before it so that alone will make it a lot better.

Yeah if it does well definitely put me down for a frag. I have been wanting that one. The ones I got from the MTRC frag swap are mostly good. I lost the JF bonsai in the move and the JF Raspberry Cheesecake lost some color during the move as well. The Tierra del fuego and the red planet are looking great though they have still mostly just encrusted like crazy. They both seem to be faster growers. Right now most my coral are in suboptimal light conditions as some are still in holding bins and such while I get my display tank up and running in the new house. We will have to see how everything fares a few months down the road. Moving a tank is always stressful on coral.

That is too bad about the JF bonsai but I'm glad most of the other ones are doing well. Do you have any high end zoas at the moment? Btw, how did the move go? Are you guys all set?

Great job on the sale! My main issue would be if I was only able to get one coral and then have to pay the shipping for that one coral. At first I only had a $35 coral and without being fast enough to get any other ones it was going to end up being a $75 coral with shipping
Luckily you guys did the add ons at the end and that saved me. I imagine some people hold off on trying for their first coral (as I did in the previous sale) for fear of the same problem. Maybe you guys could announce add ons and frag packs at the beginning of the sale so people know they aren't going to get hosed by shipping if they are only fast enough to get one coral? Also, are those rocketmans a new zoa that you guys named? I haven't been able to find them anywhere else. They look awesome and I can't wait to see them in my tank!

My bf flowflezy won a $50 visa but want fast enough to win a coral and now he doesn't get the giftcard I won 2 corals and stayed up 24hrs... but still sucks he can't have his $50 giftcard. Both of our accounts were set up with the same credit card and has his name on it and still doesn't get it :/
