Not to downplay a possible terrible thing headed towards Florida, but who scored on their 40% off hurricane sale.

Got me a Christmas Mirabilis, Suicide Squad, and Do the Dew Acropora's. Wish they had more 40% off sales.

Well, I don't know if I like the marketing approach on this. ;Sour

Just went to their website to confirm. Just doesn't feel right. IMHO.

I'm hoping they feel that they could lose power for a long time and need to get them out.

It's a sale. They didn't have too. It's smart to reduce inventory as much as possible before the storm if it even hits them. I don't see the issue.

I guess I'm old school. Just hoping this storm doesn't do a repeat of Andrew. Just so much loss. Heart breaking to see that back then.

"Hurricane" sale just seemed off to me with so many fearing the worst right now. I'm sure they didn't think off it that way, for sure. JMTCW.

Agreed. I don't want the hurricane either, but 40% off is hard to pass. It's no different than a grocery store having a sale on bread, eggs, and milk before a blizzard.

It is going to get pretty dicy here, @WWC is right down the street, and the weather stations are projecting winds at 100+ here Sunday and Monday. In 2004 power was out for 1+ weeks for some;)

All the fish stores in FL set sales when a hurricane is approaching, so WWC is definitely not intentionally trying to capitalize on a hurricane. I'm sure they've got plenty of backups in place if powers goes out, but you just never know. All my years in FL & this hurricane actually scares me.

No, don't get me wrong guys, I don't think in anyway that they are trying to capitalize on this.

Praying for the best for all of Florida!

Yea I was going to say even at 40% off its still too expensive . Just saying

Yes, still too expensive. I thought I would get something I really didn't need if the price was right. But, checking other sites, even with 40% off, many were still higher priced. Couldn't see buying something I didn't really need just to get 40% off if I could get the same thing elsewhere for less.

What did you want them to call it, the "please buy our inventory so it doesn't die EXTRAVAGANZA?" In their sale thread on R2R they say that they're having the sale to try and reduce their risk of inventory loss.

Agreed......passing on the savings to fellow reefers to minimize loss is what it is. I dropped some coin with WWC and Reefers Direct. Wishing them the best. Truth is with the large inventory they keep running generators to keep live stock alive is what it boils down too. With the unforeseen ahead lowering the bioload and unloading corals is not a bad thing. A total loss would be devistating. Save the corals! Insurance can only recover so much.

I did! Ordered it up first thing Thursday morning and had it in tank my 10:30am Friday!!!
1 acro pack and 2 sps.
Wishing all the best with thoughts and prayers during this time! God Bless!
Thanks WWC and Good luck!
