Great post! I bought an OG in July which was the size of a pinky nail. Till now, it hasn't grown. I use reef roids, redsea AB+. Do you only run blue lights? Any recommendations on getting growth? Thanks.

I used to spot feed them, which I believe is beneficial. Here is a photo of my light schedule, more white during day, then progressively getting bluer throughout the night.

Hey what do you feed your og, and can i. Have your light settings. The picture u posted of your schedule is hard to see the % of the spectrumz

I rarely feed it now, when I did I used rods fish food and it enjoyed it. How do I send my light settings?

Interesting thread. Ive had my og for 2 months and cant wait to frag it. Its a slow grower but it does eat coral frenzy

Nice thread for sure. Thanks for keeping this going! I bought a natural baby about 1.5 month ago, on a 1/2" tile for size reference. 1st pic is when I first got it (on the left- the one on the right is a baby sunkist), and pics are as of tonight. Though it's bubbling up nicely, should this thing hopefully start taking off a bit more soon with big bubbles? Most everything else grows like a weed in my tank, so im hoping to get some big ol bubbles soon.

Lately the growth has slowed, back months ago if I had a .75” it would double in about 2 months then start to stagnate. But I have been starting to put phytoplankton in the tank again. It also helps when you spot feed the coral.

Update, I had fragged the og bounce but unfortunately the baby got out of the cup I put it in. Haven’t found it yet

Hey, great thread. I just read through it and it looks like you’re having great success cutting these. I’m thinking about trying it with mine once it’s big enough. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions. How big do they have to be to cut? Can I ask what you use for iodine? And how much? Also how long do you leave the cuts in the solution? Thanks!

24gal aquatop, 26 hydra hd. It bubbles tend to grow quicker on the fragged babies for some reason. This mushroom has helped fund some of the costs for the tank which is really nice.

Could it be because you aren’t getting the mouth in the frag cut? Remove one way to eat and it has to compensate? Or did you get the mouth in subsequent frags?

Thanks! Unfortunately I have no idea where it went in my tank. I haven’t had much time to tend to my tank, so there’s so much algae. It could be gone completely for all I know.
