Do you think this is the same coral?

Nope. That looks more like a tenius. Anacprpora Spongodes is more of a smooth skin with fuzzy green/brown polyps.

Second look... Maybe... But still questionable

I had it growing all over the tank prior tongue Re-Boot. I can also attest that it will grow almost everywhere. I had a piece break a d then encrust on the front glass..
Good beginner coral. Almost impossible to kill and it looks cool

I think the thinner one is the thing and the flatter branchy one is slimeball?
Cool corals tho, bummer there aren’t more colors available. Gotta get me one of the red tnt frags

It adds a really nice look to any tank when it grows out. I def recommend not giving it a ton of light especially if you have a high light low nutrient system. If in a mixed reef its a little different

No that is an anacropora, acropora tenuis are much different. Also anacropora is different from Montipora spongeodes, which the slime ball anacropora can look similar too but the Montipora spongeodes encrusts a lot with the branching too.

Here is my red/orange anacropora. Lucky I just took a pic because I see an aptasia that could be an issue and I should cut it out today. This anacropora doesn’t have lineage to any of the named ones, it was from a wild piece. Once I mount it it should start growing a bit better. Defiantly not a fast grower like the green types.
