Hey Guys! I'm fascinated by the WWC pentagon lagoon tank but I can't find much info at all! Tell me what you know! Gallons, dimensions, etc! Thank you.

Following along. Since I saw that tank, it’s inspired my future plans. I’ve always liked the ability to view top down and I bet it’s one of the best tanks around for that viewing style!

I agree! I would love to do a tank like this! A great top down view!

I’m not sure how we missed this thread. Sorry for the wait. We are working on a video that focuses on this tank right now. We will also start a thread with progress photos soon.

Here are some notes about the tank:

The tank was assembled in the store.

(13) Radion XR30 Gen 4 (lights run from 6:30am - 7:30pm).
2 of those radions run at 100% and are dedicated to the mangrove.
(6) Vortech MP60 powerheads.
ReeFlo Hammerhead return pump.
SRO 8000 skimmer.
240W Emperor UV.
GEO CR1218 calcium reactor.

My only question is, Who is the latest employee to get into trouble, and thus have to clean that beast, LOL!!! ;Hilarious

Seriously, with 350 gal weekly water changes, are you not worried about keeping the water to clean with it being softie and LPS focused?

This tank is absolutely stunning in person and I'm not normally an LPS or Softy kinda guy. This tank looked so good, I'm considering it now.

WWC has grounds to be proud to proud of all their tanks, but this is the one I kept going back to in the store.

Hat's off WWC crew!

How are you doing the hourly feedings?

I think BK4788 was referring to the stay at home order.

Hopefully, going to store to care for the livestock is an exemption

A 9 year old mangrove from Julian Sprung, wow just wow!!!
His old mangrove tank is still inspiration for me decades later.
Amazing tank, thank you for sharing.

Since WWC is my LFS I get to enjoy this tank every time I go in (when I’m not sheltering at home anyway). It’s really spectacular! I always feel I wish I was a bit taller to enjoy the top down views better.

Photos of the equipment room?!
How do you maintain the far corners? A crane?!

It’s actually not too bad since we have people cleaning it before the store opens which includes the salt spray above the water line etc.

The weekly water changes are needed due to the amount we feed, and there are still plenty of nutrients for the corals to grow.

Wow! That is spectacular! I love the mangrove tree that you have, it really brings everything together. I would love to have a tank like this.
What roe do you feed?
