So i see a few SS Recipients got the Wyze camera . I was wondering if anyone has one and if they were able to put it into the spot on Apex fusion Where you can put pics or video. I am gonna get one regardless and use their app if i have to but was just curious

There's some info on the Neptune forums. Doesn't sound promising:

Just got mine up and running.for 26 dollars I am overwhelmed by how cool this little gadget is.Anyone that likes to keep an eye on their tank needs this.

I never thought of adding it to the apex app. I got my a few weeks ago and love it!!!! Plus it’s a neat way to talk to my kids in the mornings while I’m at work. It even works to angle it towards the kitchen to see if they did their chores instead of watching tv all day hehe

I bought one last week and planning on setting up this weekend !

I saw a big display of these cameras at Home Depot today...$25.99.

Almost grabbed one.... but should I be concerned about the possibility that adding this camera at home creates security issues?

What security issues are you concerned with?

I put my wyze, along my Google nest devices and my reefpi on a walled in guest network with no LAN access.

Beyond that, if someone wants to get in, they're welcome to it lol.

I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem I'm experiencing.

I got my camera connected and everything works great. Except when I point it at my tank. Every time I point it at my tank the picture freezes and the bit rate goes to zero, point it away and the video comes back. I'm guessing it has something to do with my lights but it seems odd.

What kind of lighting is it?

Back to your question, no issue on this end. It's pointed at the tank 24/7. I have bith the old wyze cam and the new V3, both work fine.

I have Hydra 26HDs over my tank and it's a V2 cam. I'm trying to find my orange camera filter to see if that helps at all.

I found my orange camera filter and taped it over the camera. It didn't make a difference. I tried it from different sides and angles nothing helps. The wireless router is only 5 ft away and the camera does great as long as it isn't pointed at the tank.
