Xenia bothered by diatom

My tank has diatoms. They seem to be sticking onto my Xenia coral and it’s having trouble moving freely. I’m not sure what I should do to try to help clean it. I tried taking the rock out and swishing in salt water but that didn’t really help the coral much. Any advice?

Elevate the frag in path of moderate water flow
