is my Xenia dying? I introduced this Xenia two days ago and it was doing perfectly fine but now it looks like this.

Doesn’t look like it. They’re fussy when newly introduced. But they’re hardy. Give them time. If lighting and parameters are in check, they’re ok. IME, they're sensitive to high temps.

Should I just give it time? I have no way of controlling temp in my house during summer so my current temp is 82-84 degrees throughout the day. My Kenya tree and mushrooms are doing fine and my Xenia was doing fine during the first day too. Is it also true that Xenia sometimes recedes for a period of time before they start spreading?

My xenia just receeded for a few days because I moved tanks. Same water, exact same rocks, just new tank and it threw a fit. Give it time. Don't worry unless it starts to shrink or look like its melting

They are pouty. Give it 6 weeks. It probably won't look full and flowy for a while.

Xenia in particular hate temperature instability and spike in pH. It looks like your tank is new, thus likely not suitable for a lot of animals. If you don't have an older tank to move them to, then just try to keep your tank stable and hope for the best.

Xenia are insanely resilient! They'll pull through pretty much anything

Mine survived a few months where my tank salinity went up to 1.036, back when I was a newbie and used a hydrometer lol. They're still alive and doing great to this day!
