So, my tank has been growing Xenia and Kenya trees for years, too well.... Pic included. Never paid much attention to parameters, other than temp and salinity, because I just had a few fish and all the Xenia and trees. I decided that I wanted to get more of a mixed tank, so started to make sure all would be good about 6 months ago. Alk was so low it did not measure.... So, in the last 6 months I've been using 2 part and watching all parameters. I've had it pretty stable now at:

90 gal tank, Yellow Tang, Maroon Clown, Foxface
Alk: 7-7.5
Calc: 420-450
NO3: 5-10
PO4: .05-.09
SG: 1.025

You can see from the healthy pic, they were doing unbelievable for years. Lately they have not looked so great. Some trees are fine some are wilted. The Xenia is OK, but not as full as it used to be and some are wilting. And as you can see in the pic one of them has some type of wound and excretion. I did get some other corals, could this have been some type of hitchhiker?

Anyway, any thoughts would be appreciated.....

@najer , the question is what has not happened to the YT..... I have had him for about 20 years and he was 5 when I got him. He has survived many bouts of ICK and other nasty things..... I have not had any serious incident for a long time....

Flow is the same, I did make the lights a bit brighter once I got a PAR meter for some of the other corals......

Can you lower them again and acclimate them up slowly?

I could, but it has been about three months now, so not sure that would matter much at this point? I went from about 65% to 80%, so it was not dramatic, but... Could too much light really cause a wound like that? Seems really odd ....

I would focus on Salinity (too high or low) and ph of tank. Thereafter, check temperature, water flow to the area where zenia is.
Moderate light and a little iron also makes them happy. Iodine may help this guy heal
