Hi I'm new to reefing. I plan to get a 15 gallon tank this summer with live fish, and coral. But I have done tons of research. I was wondering if you could glue a pompom pulsing xenia on the back wall and let it expand/grow on the back wall so it won't take over the rock. ? I've seen this done with green star polyps will this work with xenia? Have you tried this? It will be elegant pretty and awesome at the same time! All advice is read.

It can most definitely be done. I think it looks awesome! However, it won't stay on the rear wall. Eventually it will grow in so much that it will split itself and it will blow around the tank until it lands somewhere else and start new growth there. I have seen it time and time again. GSP doesn't do that. That's why it is frequently seen being used the way you are describing. I do
