I was gifted a Xenia frag. When I put it in the tank after acclimating, it got bigger and all the "hands" were open. But over the next few days it got smaller and smaller. Day 1, the hands kept opening and closing all the time. Day 2, the same thing except it got smaller. Day 3, size is now much smaller. My parameter is good (pH 8.2; nitrite 0, ammonia 0, nitrate 5ppm). I dont have Phostpate test kit though. I did 20% water change and it's still the same. :/

Light acclimation issues? Flow too low? Algae buildup?

Try moving it around to a different spot. They are hardy little ******** so I wouldn't be too worried.

I realized every time I move them they shrink a lot more lol. Thats weird.

In that case stop moving it so much. They need to acclimate to different amounts of light and flow. Middle to bottom of tank depending on your lighting and a stronger flow area work for me.

I would also put it in a place where you can remove it later once it overtakes your tank lol

Light, flow and a little iodine. Makes mine happy.

This looks like a new tank... probably and xenia does not do good in new tanks. Your N/P is probably 0. Too much light or an alk swing can also make them melt.
