Xenias released toxin in my tank!!!

Hey guys,

I have a Nuvo 10 gallon nano reef that's been running for 2 months now. All parameters are in check,
PH-8.3
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10ppm
Calcium- 410
Magnesium-1300
Alkalinity-8
Temp- 78

I recently added a Xenia to the tank and it seemed to be doing fine for about a week. It just closed up which is strange because my other corals are flourishing.I noticed last night my clown and dotty back were doing some heavy breathing at the bottom of the tank. Immediately after I tested my water my results were fine. Then I noticed my water had a strange smell similar to the smell of the Xenia I first placed it in my tank. I notice like a brown cloud come out of it. I believe that may have been the toxin it released. So I removed the Xenia from my tank. But my water is a bit cloudy and smells bad. What can I do in this case? Also, anyone know what may have caused the Xenia to do that?

Run carbon and water change immediately. I don't know if xenia release toxins, someone else would have to chime in about that.

What corals do you have in tank.Also live stock.

Only thing I have heard is Denis can affect stony corals
