Does the magnet mount come off the casing of the motor?

I just tried to remove the propellers for the first time (it's a brand new unit) and they seem to be on very tight... should I just pull them out of the motor with force?

What are these things for?

Why isn't there more information in the pamphlet regarding these questions?

That is screen guard "condom" if you are worried about small snails going into gyre and possibly jamming/breaking prop
