Xr15 g4 vs xr15 g6 pro

I’m in the process of moving my tank from a im40 to a Red Sea 170. I’m upgrading my lights from a xr15 g4 to xr15 g6 pro. But was told by a fellow reefer that the g6 isn’t the best light for sps and that the spectrum isn’t that great and that the g4 might be a better light. Can someone tell me if that’s right? Can still return the light to vendor

I would stick to the g4... That was and is the best radion imo

G6 lens spread the light out more. So instead of keeping your lights 8 inches off the water , you can now keep them less than 4". But if you already have the factory holders you will need to add more lights. I have 5's and 6's and except for the spread of light they look exactly the same. Like chip said if there is nothing wrong with your 4's no reason to change
