Hi folks. So I picked up an XR15 G% after my Kessel A360 kicked the bucket about 6 months ago. I have been struggling with where to set my lights at. Most of my corals are doing fine but my acropora are pretty pale despite having good polyp extension. And on top of it ive got alot more algae growth compared to the kessel with no change to the feeding program. I am running a 9hr AB+ schedule at 90% intensity with 50% Cool White and 25%Warm White added on. I just rented a par meter and got ~150PAR at the highest acros. I then changed the settings and got 200-250 with 100% intensity and 100% cool white and 100% warm white.

I have been reading that pale coral is usually a sign of too much light so I am not sure how I should proceed. So I am turning to the forums! Any insights and thoughts on how I should run this light would be very helpful!

Tank Info:

60G cube (24"/24"/24")

Light:
Light mounted 8" above water
First Acros at 9" below waterline
Lowest at 14" below waterline
Rest below that are zoas, ricordias, euphylia, chalice, cyphastrea

Param:
ALK 8.9
CAL 415
Nitrate 0.2 PPM
Phoshate 0.9 PPM
Salinity 1.026

Livestock:
Tomini Tang
Bangai Cardinal
Tamarin Wrasse
Orchid Dottyback
Yellow Watcmen Goby
Pistol Shrimpp
2 hermits 2 astrea 2 trochus

Feeding:
Auto feeder on lowest setting (less than a 1/8 tsp pellets) once a day
~1/4" cube of frozen food every other day (Mysis or spirulina brine)
Acro Power once a week

.9PPM is pretty high for phosphate in a SPS tank, I’d focus on trying to reduce that.

Thanks! I actually was concerned so I re-measured and got 9PPB. Must have clicked the wrong hanna checker in apex and didn't notice, going back a couple weeks looks like averaging around 0.04PPM
