I been wanting to go back into leds but this time spend a little more and get some nice leds. I really do miss the pop that they give and right now I'm running 6 bulb t5s currently on my mix reef 65 gallon 36x18x24 tank. I love spread of the t5 but the heat and cost of replacing the bulb kinda kills it for me. I'll soon be upgrading to an 120 4x2x2 tank with an focus of sps dominated. I'll also be only getting two lights for my 65 and plan on getting more when I set up my 120. So I'm suck between buying the xr15s and the hydra 32s, I know both are good lights and I know that the xr15 cost a little more but is it worth it?

Not what you were asking BUT this light has a led layout almost the same as the g5blue.

I'm asking which led I should buy the hydra 32s or xr15s blues lol.

I don't have any experience with the Hydras but am running 2, soon to be 3, XR15 gen5 Blues on my 180. They definitely add a pop to coral color and have great presets, acclimation phases, lunar schedules, and all that jazz. The interface is very easy to setup. Very happy with them!

XR15 G5 Blues. I am in the process of upgrading to a 225 gal tank and I plan on buying 5 XR15 G5 Blues. Watch the videos BRS did on the new lights. I, personally, want as much par as I can get while running the AB+ schedule. If that is what you want then the Blue is for you. No I didn't mean for that to rhyme, LOL!!! The Blue was built to give you more par using the AB+. Because the AB+ schedule uses the blue spectrum more, it looses par as white light gives you a ton of par. So Ecotech built that light to give you more par using that schedule.

Hydras are a great light, but they, along with any other light will loose par when you use the AB+ schedule. If you don't plan on using the AB+ schedule then I would go with the Hydras.

I watch all of brs videos on the lights and pretty much watch every new video they release lol. I just want to know whats people experiences with both theses lights. I'm leaning towards the xr15s but I want to know whats people thoughts with the hydras 32s before I make the choice.

I know. I was showing you a 3rd option. I am currently running 3 of these over my 180g. Took down 4 t5 and leds , and replace with 3 of these. Getting better coral color and growth in the 7weeks then i did in 2 yrs.
My current build includes an 8ft 400g and 8ft 320g. To light both with xr30g5 or hydra 64hd i was looking at 20k to get even spread. 16k for orphek. These 3k. Sorry if i provided you with an unsolicited option to save money with the same net results.
I dont know how to remove my post if you do let me know and i will.

All good, thank you for showing me a different option they do look good and sleek but I was already set in stone of getting the xr15s or hydras. I don't know how to remove posts too lol but I think leaving it here will give anyone reading this thread that has the same dilemma as I do know that they have an another option too.
