They dont require it. They can be programmed via EcoSmart Live or Apex as well

Your best choice is to use a Reeflink to program them wireless but you can program them with your computer via USB cable and EcoSmart website.

Ah ok.. That's bad the eotech just came out with a light that is out the box controllable, for what them lights cost new& used. Lol

They're G3 Pro, so a few years. Got them right before the G4 came out. Still working great. I open them up and clean them with air and q tips every 3 months. Still putting out great PAR on my SPS dominant tank.
