Xr30 question

When setting up a xr30 to the reeflink does the light have to be connected to the conputer or reeflink or should it just be picked up wirelessly? I bought the light and reeflink used and dont have the instructions and the usb cable for the lights. And of corse echotech is closed and i cant find exactly what im looking for online. Thanks.

Ok, ill see if my gopro usb cable will work my luck it wont and ill have to get a cable from echotech for the light. I went out at bought a 30 dollar usb to usb cable for the reeflink and it wouldnt work when setting that up. Echotech said that i need their cable, that was the issue. So now my luck will be ill have to wait to get a cable from them wich wouldnt be till next week because the weekend is almost already here :/

Also ad a side note, when the radion is plugged in and powered on the little led on the top is a solid blue, when u hold the three buttons to power it off the little led light flashes 3 times looks like red blue red blue red. The red could be a white, but kinda looks red. Is that normal?

Not sure. I just did everything through the computer. You could see if there is a way to do a factory reset without the cables.

Do you have a reef link set up?

If you have a reef link you And it esa used, you need to do a Factory reset before it conects to The light, then you need to do the same to the lights , factory reset from the reef link connected by the cable to the lamps.

Follow Echotec marine quick setup guise and you should be good to go.

Make sure the previous owner of the ReefLink has removed it from their EcoTech account, or it will not work for you.

If a factory reset it's done it will, it worked for me that way.

It's just a phone mini-usb cable. Then everything you need is on the Ecotech site. Hook the reeflink up to the pc first, do a factory reset/upgrade on it, then you can do the factory reset/upgrades on the light firmware if they need it. Then you associate the lights via the setup, with the reeflink connected to the pc. After that then everything can be done wirelessly.
