XR30G5 Blue - Diffuser or Shade?

I have switched my 2 tanks over to Ecotech from AI. My 130 is blinding people 2 rooms over, as you can see the LEDs when sitting on the couch and “it’s a thing”. I have them sitting in the light rail of my RS Max 500, so I don’t think a shade will work, I think I will have to use a diffuser, am I thinking correctly? Is anyone using the diffuser and your thoughts on it? On my other tank I can go either way as I have to use the Ecotech mount. On the second tank would you use a shade for no par loss? Although, of the 3 reviews (2 sentences each) I found online stated par loss was on 20.

I did not particularly like what the diffusers did yo my Radions (XR15 G. 6) so I stuck on a set of shades in stead from The Polyp Pro's in the UK. (you should be able to see them just on the picture attached!)

Either way will work you I reckon, it's about the expression that you want.

What generation of the Radions do you have? Don't reckon you have an issue with any 'disco balling' or anything?
