so i purchased a Aqueon Evolve 4 from petsmart the other day and ive decided to start a thread to show my progress with it. im not 100% sure what i want to put in it yet. i was leaning towards pom pom crabs or maybe sexy shrimp? a goby maybe also? i found an amazing piece of LR and had to get it. i have not decided if i want a sand bed yet. i have done nothing to the tank except add some bio balls to the back and a mini heater. i used the petco premixed saltwater just simply because i didnt have room to mix salt at my house.


looking for lots of input please on what livestock to add to the tank.

yea im not 100% sure what i want to place in the tank yet. i wish they had nano eels bc this LR would be perfect for one. i also have a few other nice "eel" rocks but im saving them for my column tank and i also like the look of the single LR in the nano.

how do i enter the contest??? where are the rules and such? im low on money so i prob wont win. but i took some more shots of the LR so you can see it better, ill post them later.

so i added some LS and a nice friend called charmander (a flametail blenny)




looking for suggestion on other tank mates. was thinking about some type of crab or shrimp. maybe a pistol shrimp goby combo?? let me know.


also looking for suggestions on how to point the return pump power head? right now it shoots towards the middle and up at the surface. (you can see in the pics kinda)

i already added water and such to the tank so impossble for me to take the shots they need to enter. but thanks tho maybe next time.

yea hes a neat little flame tail blenny. very very active lol.





UPDATE:

Electrabuzz has been added to the tank. he is a very very small yellow watchman goby named him that well because he is yellow and under the moon lights his blue spots looks like lightning flashes when he swims.

Poliwag has been added also. he/she is a bullseye pistol shrimp. i was told my YWG and this neat shrimp would pair up but still no luck. so i did a bit of digging and turns out 90% of the time people have found them to be "solo" shrimp :-( so i might be getting rid of Poliwag and getting one that will pair with my YWG. anyone had any luck with these pairing?


ive also added 5 Nassarius snails and 3 Astraea snails for a clean up crew.


i will post pics ASAP. just wanted to update everyone really fast. please post suggestions, comments, ideas, so on.

UPDATE:


so i went to my LFS and traded in Poliwag (the target pistol) and got a new friend.

Diglett is a Snapping Shrimp, Red Banded (Alpheus randalli)


i also picked up with the trade in a few heads of yellow zoas and some pink starburts looking ones. i will post pics of them once they open so everyone can help me ID them.

awesome man, i love pistol shrimps. i hope yours pair up quickly.

i think i remember reading somewhere bullseye pistol shrimp are the least likely to pair up with gobies. i dont remember where though :/
