Xyclone Protein Skimmer

I’m currently looking at skimmers and my LFS has an Aquatop Xyclone protein skimmer available for $90. Does anyone have any experience with this brand of skimmer? It’s much cheaper than others, but I just want to make sure it’s good quality too! Thank you!

I do not have experience with this brand but after looking it up my first impression is bulky, and more complex than a skimmer should be. Look into Skimz. Been using them for years before switching to NYOS. Skimz has been extremely reliable, quiet and pulls good foam.

This skimmer came with my very first tank. Had a heck of a time dailing this skimmer in and just gave up and bought a much better one. If I was you I would not waste that money and buy a much better one even if it cost more..

I used one in my frag tank. It works, was a little finicky to dial in, but did pull good fish when adjusted. Mainly used it because I didn't have a sump.
