Hi everybody!
I got my second fish named Sally she is a pajama Cardinal fish and she is doing great! She is a slow eater but gets enough I think! I'm trying to figure out my BioCube 32 lighting that would be appropriate now! I first had just the white light on now I have all three going but not sure what the schedule is supposed to be! The L1 causes algae to grow so I don't know if I have it on too long or what? Could somebody help me with the schedule that would be appropriate because I will be getting Corals in a month or so when my tank is more stable! Thank you in advance! PS, I don't know how to add pictures so somebody could help me with that as well.

Congrats on the fish!!! Personally, I like a natural lighting schedule. Early to mid morning ramp up. The more intense light between late morning (10:00) and mid afternoon (4:00) and ramp down till 7:00. Works quite well in nature. Good luck!

I cant remember my exact schedule but mine is something like this. I wouldnt run whites any longer than 8 hours. I think you can run the moonlights whenever you want for viewing.
LC1 (Daylights): 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
LC2 (Sunrise / Sunset): 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
LC3 (Moon Lights): 6:00 am to 10PM

Thank you! I think I set mine similar except for the L1, I only have on for 4 hours because I don't want algae to grow. Once I get some corals, then can I extend that L1 time?

you got it! smart to keep them off until needed for alage reasons. I personally enjoy my tank more during the sunset and sunrise settings. :)

Pajama cardinal are nocturnal. If you are concerned that she does not eat enough, try to feed her in the evening when the lights are less intense.
I got 2 of them about 10 days ago. The larger one ate well right away. It took 48 hours for the smaller one to eat. But now they are both voracious. They eat way more than my 2 firefish, who have been in the same aquarium for over 6 month.

Have 3 in a 180 and I remember when they were small and cute(r)
they are indeed nocturnal, but will get around to hiding under ledges and popping out for food when it is there regardless of the time - but fun to watch them under your moonlight cycle
mine eat anything and everything
best of luck and watch the white light intensity and algae, as you have suggested.

My Firefish, Gomez, is also shy but eats a little bit better than Sally! She seems to like the blue light way better than the brighter lights! I will try as and nighttime feeding!
