Yellow algae ID on new leather??

I need to know if this yellow algae is a threat or not.I’m currently cleaning it with ReVive, and noticed this bright yellow algae growing on the back side of this leather. I do not want to put it in my tank if it’s bad. Here are some pictures

Is it actually on the coral or just on the back of the rock? My guess is that it’s a sponge. It shouldn’t be a problem to put in the tank.

Yes it’s on the back of the rock. I looked it up and it says it can leach toxins into the water. Should I try to get rid of it?
