Yellow and purple tang refuse eating

I bought 2 L size (14cm) yellow tang and L size (15cm) purple tang from hobyyist a week ago. The guy said I set the system up. System is working alone. And I'm not here for 2 months sometimes.

I placed the tangs to my own 200 gallon tank and the fish never eat. I've tried all kinds of food from aquirium store. Except natural ones like cabbage and banana.

What would you suggest me next to do ? The fish are very healthy. But looks like extremely wild. They hide when I go near tank. I have never seen such healthy tangs before. But they refuse eating.

Yes , I have tried one. Placed it to the rock. It stayed there for 2 days.

pickup some LRS or RODS. lrs is known for getting picky fish to eat.

Live blackworms should do the trick, and much more nutritious than live adult brine. If you are going to feed brine they need to be freshly hatched so they have the yoke sack still

I had the same problem several months back. Bought a sailfin tang and it refused every food I tried although it had been eating mysis shrimp at the lfs. After a week I was running out of options and I opened a small can of spinach, rinsed it and threw it in a blender along with three or four eggs. Blended it to a green liquid. Poured it into a clean teflon skillet and on low heat gelled it until set. Spread it on wax paper and froze it. Thawed a small bit and squirted it into the tank. All it took was one taste and by the second day the tang was eating as much as I would feed it. Now it eats anything I put in the tank. I believe if you can get one eating the others will also feed.

Blue tang yes. Purple tang and yellow tangs no. I will try all what you guys said. Tyvm.

Blackworms, live brine, try red nori. Rubberband different types of nori to rocks. If you feed nori regularly, your tangs will stuff their faces and the new tangs will follow suit most likely.
