So my wife and I were at the lfs yesterday. She wanted yellow tail damsels so I let her pic some out. I didn't see what she picked out till we got home and added them to the tank. They don't look like yellow tails instead have a closer resemblance to blue devil damsels and yellow belly damsels. Has anyone had any experience with either of these? After looking up yellow belly damsels we read they are ok in groups of 5 or more, we do have 5. Our other I habitants are 1 orange spot goby and 2 clowns. Should we take them back or should they be ok?

Best pic I could get, they are active little guys

From the pic it's kinda hard to tell but it doesn't look like the blue devil, or the azure. It looks like what my store used to sell as "electric blue" damsels. They're semi aggresive, not as bad as a blue devil but not as peaceful as a yellow tails. It's kinda a crap shoot I think on this one. Kinda depends on what size your tank is and how big your clowns are. In a tank less than 100 gallons I imagine one or two of these guys will be left after a couple weeks. But time will tell. Better safe than sorry?
