+1 Make sure it is eating. Try to find one under 3" with the tail spot still. Also the larger angels may pick at coral since they've been in the wild longer.Wait until you see it eating before buying. The larger size Regals have a poor survival rate. Best ones are 1.5-3”size. Which should start coming in around the end of February.
Personally I'm all for supporting local businesses but Divers Den/LA has them often from $99-249 and there are frequent 20% off coupons. They have the best guarantee in the business. I picked mine up from Divers den and it was eating right off the bat and only paid around $150 with a coupon.$175 in store for this guy...
$175 is a good deal, especially when you can see it in person eating. You don’t get that with Liveaquaria.
With divers den you do see a pic of the fish and they guarantee the fish is eating. Along with start prophylactic treatment.$175 is a good deal, especially when you can see it in person eating. You don’t get that with Liveaquaria.
If you know the store well bring in a clam from the grocery store and split it open. If they won’t eat fresh clam they won’t eat anything IME. That one looks pretty fat and healthy though. Definitely do a FW dip if you buy it. Many have flukes.
All he is eating so far is clam in half shell. But as of now how’s good size to him...
