Yellow dots on euphyllia base. Parasite or sponge?

Looks like it has yellow dots on the skeletal base. What do you think they are?

Always hard to tell out of water but appears to be sponge but as long as you are able to pull the frag out- Dip it as an assurance/insurance, then rinse in container of tank water and return to display
