Hey all, I'm currently looking to buy a yellow leather finger coral...I'm having trouble finding anyone or a dealer who could sell me one. I'd prefer a bright yellow as this is a tough coral color to come by. I don't want a toadstool, rather the finger version. Does anyone know where I may be able to buy/find one?

Best wishes in your search— I have always thought they are beautiful. And the bigger the better :)

Yes! That would awesome! Where did you get it?

I’ve never seen one of these. Following along to see..

With the exception of the Yellow Fiji leather almost all yellow leathers are dyed. This is essentially poisoning your coral and leaving it to die in your tank, releasing terpenoid compounds and making the water nasty. Also watch out for bright pink toadstools.

If you want something yellow, I suggest Parazoanthus gracilis. They're easy to care for, inexpensive, and downright gorgeous. Best of luck!

You recommend Yellow aptasia ?!?

I have a tank *full* of 'junk' soft corals but these things are something I would avoid like the plague.

They only maintain that beautiful eye popping yellow in $700 SPS lighting. Otherwise they are dull and ugly brown.
And they still have all the 'wonderful' attributes of regular aptasia.

Spreads like the plague. Far worse than the multiple types of Xenia that I keep.

Stings everything just like regular aptasia.

Sure why not? Keep it isolated and it won't spread (unless it somehow gets fragged and floats away). Also I've kept them (a couple years back to be fair), but under a $100 LED and they kept their color. I found that feeding them and keeping the tank slightly dirty helped keep their colors
