I have a 30.2 AIO that was crystal clear but now after cycling the water and adding some fish and coral has gone hazy. I do a 10% water change 2x a week and replace the filter socks every 2 weeks. Will a protein skimmer help? If yes what would you recommend? Should I try putting carbon in a media filter cup? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

C A R B O N. Run it for 4-5 days. If it doesn't clear up then you've got a bigger issue. Running carbon constantly is pointless ( sort of) because it deactivates so to speak and becomes a nitrate factory.

I'm not sure where to put the carbon. Should I replace one of the filter socks with carbon? Maybe try a UV sterilizer?

I would use a media bag and just drop it into one of the chambers.

I'm running some carbon now (I used Prazi for flukes). I have the bag hanging from one of the inTank filter floss holders that I replaced my socks with. Didn't want to fish the bag out of the bottom of the chamber. I have 40.2.
