I recently purchased some yellow polyps, very excited as they are one of the few truly yellow corals to my understanding. However, they look quite brown in my tank even though they were a nice golden yellow in the tank I bought from (saw them in person). The polyps are fully extended and it looks happy, just has an ugly brown color. Does anybody have any experience with these and how to get them yellow again?

What kind of lighting are you running? Could possibly change the spectrum of the light to make the colors pop.

Here is a FTS to show the orientation in the tank, the yellow polyps are circled in red. My daughter is very upset that she bought ‘yellow polyps’ that have turned out to be very brown. She’s willing to do anything to help them get to the yellow color she was sold online. Second pic to show lights on tank
