Been googling on this for days and can’t find anything on them besides a short article on Reef Builders.

And am just wondering if they are easy to get by. Or a true rare animal to collect.

To me it looks like a hadonni. Does the underside have purple dots?

Do you mean under the colour side? It is all the same colour as the foot, a pale white bud

Maybe Haddons ..... definately bleached!! Gigs are really tough, maybe the toughest of all the large host anemones. I’m not aware that they come in yellow morphs. Magnifica do, but are almost as tough. If you’re not prepared to treat with antibiotics, don’t get one.

How do I go about the proper id as the haddons and s. gigantea look so similar?

A few more pics to see if you guys can help me, but if you know of a link would appreciate thanks.

After researching it is definitely a haddons and it’s definitely not bleached

Got the camera out and taken some pics under orange filter snd it show that the mouth and body are also yellow, if it was bleached both would be a translucent colour.

Also this is just a baby probably 2in fully expanded the rest of the colour won’t be visible for another year I think.

It's a very nice Haddon. I'm surprised it's only 2". how long have you had it?

Maybe just a crappy photo then. Always best to,judge these things with your own eyes.

I know what you mean, I am pretty bad at pics that first photo doesn’t look anything like it in real life even I thought it was making it look bleached [emoji23]

Glad you didn’t take umbrage over my description of the photo - I’m a charter member of the crap picture club. Cool little nem though.

3 months later the yellow is really popping out on this. Also had a confirmation from white corals in bring a s. Haddoni
