Yellow snail eggs?

In the process of transferring corals from my frag tank into my new setup. Found these on the underside of a duncan, are they snail eggs? I know I have colonista snails which are beneficial but dont want to transfer it if it is something else.

Looks more like sponge growth. Is it able to be removed?

Sponge makes sense. Scalpel scrapes it off but its definitely on there pretty good
