But I have a yellow tang with around seven black raised specs/dots in QT. Is there any other explanation other than black ich? Or is there a natural explanation for such a thing on a yellow tang?

Figured as much. I had though earlier I may have cross contaminated my invert/coral qt to my other qt, I guess I have my answer. Start over QT it is. But, super grateful I follow protical like yourself with qt process, to make sure my dt system stays healthy and disease free. But ugh, what a pita.
