Yellow tang and actinic lighting?

I maybe paranoid, but anyway, tonight I noticed my yellow tang when my kessils were near 1% color and intensity moments before they turn off my yellow tang looked like he had white speckles all over him. With the room lights on and my flashlight on my phone there are no visible white spots ich or otherwise. During the day there is no flashing, he's grazing rocks, he's eating mysis/brine, and he ate nori sheet too.

Am I being paranoid? It could be reflection of scales or even micro bubbles? No other fish has any signs. Clownfish, yellowtail damsel, and 6 line wrasse.

As long as he is eating and acting otherwise healthy at this point, I would be in the wait and see phase.
Unless absolute quarantine methods have been employed (best is TTM) then there is and always will be ich present in the system. A healthy eating fish should be able to counter this unscathed.

Probably not a horrible idea to experience just a _little_ paranoia when it comes to tangs and ich . . .

I should think (not having kept a yellow) that if the spots are bubbles or sand, they'll be in different places on the fish every time you see them. If they're scales, they'll be regularly spaced, and in the same spots, always. If they're ich, they'll sit unmoving for a few days, then vanish.

They do have a white horizontal stripe that is sometimes visible, but speckles are concerning. All you can do is see if they are still there tomorrow when the lights come on. Should be if it is a parasite or worm.

Thank you, and there was. Maybe I just didn't take notice to him before when the lighting was this low in color/intensity on the kessil in particular if it was just an anomaly since nothing was visible today when the lights were on.

Nope, nothing new. Just puzzled me, even under a flashlight There was no visible white spots, looked normal as it did earlier in the day. It was the entire fish when it swam into the blue lights, and to reiterate they were at about 1% color and intensity. About 3-5 mins before shutting off for the night.

Will do, thanks for for everyone who responded. I did do a water change today, and did some equipment maintenance which did dump a bunch of bubbles into the display. I'm wondering if that's what I'm seeing the tiny ones stuck to the slime coat and it's only visible during the really blue and really dim lights and Psyching myself out. I'd hate to have to try and catch a 6 line to place in the hospital tank...
