Hey all,
I woke up this morning and noticed my yellow tangs upper fin was split. He is somewhat new to the tank but I haven’t observed any aggression with any other tank mate. He’s been out and about and much happier than when I had him by himself in quarantine. I don’t know what’s causing it and will it grow back??? Any help would be appreciated.

I have 2 yellow tangs. One had a similar issue with his tail fin. A few days later all was well. I don't know what caused it but all it is fine now.. Mine go for New Life Spectrum pellets

1 royal gamma, 2 clownfish, and 1 starry blenny.
Could be the gramma or clowns. I’d try to observe them without them seeing you. Fish bullies seem to show their true colors when they think no one is watching. A WiFi camera or even your phone set on video recording can also be used.

So today he is fine. He must be playing games with me … any ideas anyone ? How is it split one day and not the next?
