So I've noticed a few days ago one of my yellow tangs has a sore on his mouth. It almost looks like he and another fish went after the same food during feeding and the yellow tang's mouth got in the way. It already looks ten times better, but I've noticed he doesn't go after nori like he used to. It looks like he tries, but cant actually grab anything.
Doesn't seem to be a problem when I feed the tank flakes. So he's getting food...just not the amount he used to.
Is this something I need to worry about? I've heard before that healing mouth wounds can lead to scar tissue that doesn't allow the fish to fully close it's mouth. I didn't know how common this was. I've had a string of bad luck the past few months and I'd really like to not lose another fish
Help!
