Yellow Tang Issue?

Hey - there seems to be tiny brown threads stuck to the back of my Yellow Tang. I thought it was maybe just some detritus (as tank is going through some uglies) stuck to him but it's been there for 24 hours now. Is there any cause for concern here?

It’s on both sides of the tang - injuries are often just one side or the other. However, this isn’t a symptom of any of the regular tang diseases. They get something called black ich, but that looks different.

How long have you had this fish?

Yes, it's on both sides. Slightly more prevalent on the right hand side of the Tang.

Looks like a skin irritation but hard to tell due to darker lighting with blue. Please repost under white light intensity

Seabae anenome just introduced into the tank, could that have caused the irritation?

Yes and with new and great pics- does look like a sting which will be a blemish and slowly go away BUT keep an eye on area for any soreness/redness

What type of anemone? I just ask because I've had haddoni sting fish and even eat fish. I've kept a tank full of bubble tips with tangs and other active swimmers and never had a fish get stung that I'm aware of. Maybe I'm just lucky.
