Yellow tang issues

Maybe he doesn't approve of your haircut?:p
In all seriousness, mine are always following me around the tank when I want to take a picture of my corals. Sometimes they seem to get a little aggro but never seen them go postal...

you must have really made the fish mad...what did u do to it lol. anyways mine is scared of me but everyfish has its personality and it might be the grumpy fish. is it fed often maybe its hungry and wants you to feed it more

I feed him constantly hes already obese as it is lol. Seems he uses all his energy to try and attack lol since he doesnt really have to forage much.

It’s been going on for 2-3 months now he only does this when I get near the tank it’s quite strange.

Sounds like that Seinfeld joke about the dog when his master comes home: tail is wagging a mile a minute and the dog is thinking “Hey! I know you. You! You’re that guy. That guy I know from before.”

Maybe let someone’s else do the feeding and he’ll fall out of love with you.

Fish do know your face. To all my fish I'm known as the "slightly overweight 50-smthg dude" that feeds them.....

When I approach the tank they all start gathering up for a feeding.

When my wife or daughter approaches the tank they scatter and HIDE!

My 11yr old daughter thinks this is hilarious that I'm the only one they pay attn to.

My wife has sat and looked at the tank for a grand total of 10minutes since 2007. Its amazing how disinterested she is. Only time she pays attn is when my Credit Card bill comes in with reef purchases....

My guess now is.... The yellow knows you as the "food provider" and may be showing aggression as excitement thinking food is coming....

mine does the same, not all the time though. I think the fish is happy to see you. my clowns do the same. they follow me around the tank.
I like it better this way, rather than what my melanurus wrasse does. The wrasse will bury itself in the sand when I get to within like 5 feet of the tank, and this is not a new fish. its been in the tank for like 8 months now. The only time I get to see the wrasse is remotely via webcam. If you don't want the fish to follow you around, get a melanurus wrasse.

Swimming in the front can be that he is looking for food. If it is a well learned behavour the fish will do it anytime You are around even if it is overfed. (Conditioned reflex) The agressiveness could be that the tank is too small for the tang.

I guess my real concern is that he constantly tries to swipe my hand and his scalpel is getting pretty large. Should I be worried about that I have my hand in the tank at least once daily.
