so I put a seemingly healthy yellow tang thru two weeks of copper and general cure.

He came in eating, however , now that he is on display, is not accepting any foods, including a variety of frozen, pellets, nori.

I noticed he stopped eating about 10 days into copper.

He is looking thin, any suggestions how to start it eating?

I use metroplex, garlic gaurd and focus on all food that was frozen.

Thanks

Have you treated for worms/internal parasites? To be honest if he stopped eating in quarantine he should have stayed in quarantine.

Copper and prazi are both appetite suppressants.

Goto foods for getting a fish to eat
Live brine
Live black worms
Roe
Its a tang so try a couple different varieties of nori

Did it have white stringy poop in qt?

My yellow tang always loved nori...would eat other foods...but once I put the clip in .....would pick at it until the seaweed was gone.

Tried the nori today and nothing. I can try to get the roe, and no, no white string in quarantine. Was feeding metroplex binder to frozen every day

I can see why you would say that, however he came in eating strong, went thru two weeks of meds , and parasite wise there was nothing left to treat, and my judgement was he had a better chance to come around in tank as opposed to a bare glass box.

For future reference always have some pvc pipes or similar in a quarantine tank to give the fish a safe hiding space. As far as feeding is concerned try the above live foods and different types of seaweed. Feed little but often. Good luck.
