picked up a yellow tang Sunday the lfs has since November. Ate well, looked fine. Into my tank, which does have a piece of live rock in it, gets Popeye in one eye.
I know typically unilateral eye issues are injury related, so I put in epsom salt, 1 tbsp per 5 gallons.

Today I looked, no improvement, but it also appears that some type of extrudement is on the eye, like a little white piece sticking out of it, my first guess was flukes although I have been running general cure.

I freshwater dipped today, took two water, made it appropriate temp, aerated for 1/2 hour, used prime to dechlorinate.

Dipped for about 4 minutes, returned to tank. Laid at bottom flapping fins in tank for half hour before I had to leave for work.

Not sure if his status, being at work, but he did not handle the dip very well.
Didn’t see any flukes fall off.

My guess is he is going to not make it, unsure if rock caused injury seeing it had some work like projection sticking out

Flukes often only come off of the fish's skin. The ones in the gills and eyes spasm and die later. How many doses of GC have been done?
For eye infection Erythromycin (aka Maracyn) is the preferred med.
