My yellow tang has some type of diseases/fungus/infection going on around it’s tail. Nothing new in the tank for at least six months. I’ve had the fish for over two years. He’s bugging the crap out of my cleaner wrasse for help. Any ideas about what it could be? Picture attached.

Are there any other tangs in the tank?

Is it possible that Tang got swiped by one of the other tangs in the tank

I think the yellow has tissue bruising from swiping other tangs. Their first line if defense is to swipe with that barb

I hope you’re both correct! That’s better than the other alternatives, right? Thanks so much for your responses.

Looks like he's been going at it with another Tang. I had a yellow Tang in my tank for 3 months then dropped in a purple Tang and that's what my yellow Tang looked like after the first day. After that they've been fine (thank goodness).

Looks like remnants from a squabble. Melafix would be a good healer otherwise let it heal naturally. be sure to add Vitamins such as selcon to food and Garlic to food also and give them Nori daily to keep them occupied
