Yellow Tang Problems

I have a Yellow tang and for some reason he gets this blackish color to him, but It will go away slowly but come back. If you look at these photos you can see what I'm saying.

They change color at night, that could be what you're seeing. Could also be stress. If he does this late at night only I wouldn't worry. If it's any other time check your water parameters, check him for parasites, and if all is well, leave the lights off for 24 hours to de stress.

Agreed, those guys can shift color patterns. Most time its white in the center.
