yellow Tang Qt advice needed

i have never QTed fish , i have started a new frag tank 60 gallon , and want to know , besides copper, what esle should i treat it for ? what are tangs notorious for diease wise, and what types of med ? like parizopro?

Most people do 2 weeks of a copper treatment and then 2 weeks of general cure (which is prazipro and metroplex combined) general cure is more effective as prazipro doesn't cover that many parasites and is really most popular for flukes.

After the combined 4 weeks of treatment I do another week of seachem paraguard. Its not as effective or strong as other medications but I use it as it covers a wide range of things that I may have missed or survived the previous treatments.

You need to do 28-30 days of copper. Tangs are considered to be ick magnets.
I also do 2 rounds of Prazi Pro.
To test copper effectively, the Hanna High Range Copper Checker makes testing fairly easy.

Never did copper for more than two weeks. Its stressful and a lot of tangs stop eating and develop lateral line disease while being treated with copper. But what works for me doesn't mean it works for you. Not a fan of prazi as again it doesn't cover that many parasites

General cure is made by api. You can use seachem focus to bind it to their food (it's what I do) or you can add it to the water
