Yellow Tang rubbing on rocks

My yellow tang is rubbing on the rocks in my tank. There is no sign of ich...... All of the other fish seem fine also. He's rubbing so much it looks like there is redish irritation spots on his side. Has any one seen this?

It may be ich that is still under his skin.. Just hasn't broke through yet for you to see it...

Yes, I have and the fish I have seen it with usually have had Ich. Often you will not see the white spots. The parasite has several stages in its life cycle and burrows into the fish so it will only be visible as a cyst when it is ready to release more parasites. That's why cleaner shrimp don't really work for Ich.

get a sterilizer if cured my issues... lost one and the purple tang that showed it cleared up in a week ...was looking better after two days ...also a herbal treatment that is good if you want to go that route called Herbtana in a orange bottle
