My yellow tang recently been swimming slower and reaction time is very slow. I thought it might get sting so I move it to my other tank. At first i think it might gonna die anyway, but he still act exactly the same (maybe slightly better). I can still catch it very easily. Anyone know what may happen to the fish?

Lethargy is a symptom to a number of issues. Any spots, injuries, discoloration on the tang? Any other fish acting that way? Ammonia spikes? Poor flow? Have you added anything new to the tank recently?

There is some brown/dark spot near his head. It still kinda active but sometimes act like dying
Sorry this is the best pic I can take

The dark patches and the redness on the dorsal fin "can" be symptoms of bacterial infection. Usually a bacterial infection is caused by something else: poor water quality, poor food, parasites, injury, stress, etc.

Here's a thread with lots of info on treating bacterial infections with antibiotics: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/antibiotics.283711/

Nothing to add on diagnosis but for tangs and other fish with large fins I would try your best to avoid nets. Getting stuck in one can increase their stress and slower their immune response. If qt the tang, can use the net to corral into a specimen container. Can make your own by drilling holes into a smaller critter cage and taking the lid off.

Thanks for the reply guys. I will look into bacteria infection stuff and try to heal my fish
The bucket looks good. I probably get one so i dont need to hurt my other big fishes

They work great for puffers too. ;)

not sure if it’s just the angle of the picture or not, but it kinda looks like it’s eye is hazy/cloudy. If it’s the case, might be the reason for not being so active. Infection or might be flukes.
