Yellow tang turning white

Our yellow tang has started turning white around his mouth and eyes. LSF Said he might be going blind we don’t think that’s the case. He won’t eat his nori or frozen food.

I don't feed my tangs any nori, just Hikari frozen foods and all of them are as healthy as can be and no signs of Hlle or any sort of malnutrition, they are all very chunky. My tangs are a yellow, purple, blonde naso and hippo. My naso loves bubble algae and just got a bunch from a tank at my lfs and hand fed him, he goes crazy for it. They do get around 8 cubes a day and they are constantly grazing on the rocks.

Do you use activated carbon? I feel like this is a likely cause, at least in my case for my yellow tang (didn't affect my blue tang). I went through a couple of containers of carbon without rinsing well before use and tons of particles entered the water column. After a while I noticed that my yellow tang had worth lines then before.
