Have an opportunity to get a young yellow tang being rehomed...I have a kole in my 65 fowlr...what are the chances of peaceful co-existance...should I go for it, or steer clear...appreciate an answer asap...thank you...;Pompus

Two tangs in a 65, I'd guess the chances of co-existence are low - but if you had to try it, that would be one of the better combinations - especially with the yellow added second. Some of those guys seem to become real jerks.

Different species of tang but in that small of a tank I'd stay clear. Probably gonna have issues in the long run and having to rehome the fish again. I love tangs though and have broken a few tang police rules before.......

65 is too small for two tangs, yellow's can be really nasty at times as well.

I was always told you are ok putting a sailfin type tang in with a sturgeon type tang but dont put 2 of the same type in. As for the size of your tank that is going to be up to debate.

Do You have a refugium & can you catch the kole? If so put the kole in the ref add the yellow. Then in a few weeks put the kole back in the tank, maybe ?
