Any ideas what that white line is that goes horizontally along the belly?

She seems to be eating the Nori in the tank fast, so appetite is fine. Got her yesterday (she is small about 2.25"), but unfortunately did not spot this on her at the store. I think it became more pronounced after the move home.

Thats normal on Yellow Tangs. I believe you will see it more when they are stressed out and in the dark hours. There is nothing wrong with the fish.

ok good.

Where the QT is located, it does not get a ton of light. Can that be an issue for them? It gets mildly bright. I can add a light if needed, but it would cool if I don't have to and ambient room light is enough?

You can light a qt, they will get used to it. That shouldn't be an issue. That white stripe is common with all the yellows, you will still see it from time to time.
