Yeah thats either Ich, velvet, flukes, or a combination.

Before we advise we are going to need to know if there are any other symptoms:

Any swimming in to powerheads? Hiding from light? Cryptic behavior (hiding), swimming erratically? Breathing heavily? Loss of color or blotchy discoloration? Any "dusting" or faint coating on the fish? If you can run just the blues, can you see any spots or dusting then? Is it eating?

How old is your tank? What size?

You need to be prepared for freshwater dips, quarantine in a separate tank with copper or CP, and metro once we drill this down for you.

I tagged you guys so if I don't make it back in time he gets quick answers because he needs to move fast

In addition to all that, can you please get a nice clear picture of the tang?

I'll leave this one to the experts, but wanted to wish you good luck with the tang. You're in good hands.

he hasnt been hiding. hes acting like normal. even very active when being feed. still acts to be the boss to the other fish. the only odd thing is his rubbing and his eye. and hes been swimming all around the tank. its a 75gal been up sense February.

as i watch him he does go up to the top corner were the flow is stronger for a min or so and goes away but it does look like something is bothering him.

Flukes will sometimes make it to the eyes. Photo below for comparison.

to add to this.... A freshwater dip would confirm/rule out flukes as the problem. It would also help clear out the gills some since it seems he may have some issues with breathing - as evidenced by him swimming into the flow of the return. In other words, a Freshwater Dip will only help :)

i will have to give that a try after work tomorrow.

And to add to this ;), once flukes have reached the eyes a FW dip is pretty much mandatory before treating with Prazipro. Prazi causes flukes to spasm and dislodge, but if flukes spasm inside a fish's eye the damage is catastrophic. :(

If flukes have reached the eyes, that usually indicates the infestation is heavy. Meaning, you don't have until tomorrow if this is the case.

So i gave him a fresh water bath yesterday for 4 min or so. And todau his eye seems better but im seeing white stuff on the side of his body and his fins look a little beat up or split and seems pretty stressed from the bath. Was in water for 4 to 5 min

Did you see any white dots (flukes) fall out when you did the FW dip? It's looking like a secondary infection might be setting in.

It did look like stuff was coming off him but not 100% sure

This morning his fins look a whole lot better and has stopped rubbing against the rocks. And hes really showing his dominants in the tank. I think that bath did the trick. Fins are healing up nicely. Eyes are clear and white stuff seems to be gone. Thank you all for ur help!

I would follow up with Prazipro treatment (which is reef safe) or flukes will likely return.
